Philosophy

As a designer and an artist, I find vitality in how these two identities meet and interact. Balancing the analytical and creative sides to process is where I thrive, whether that’s ideating and sketching for a branding project, or planning and sculpting an exhibition of ceramic sculptures. Problem-solving is my love language.

Design Journey

I've worked as a graphic designer for over twenty years. Some highlights of my career journey include stints at a traditional letterpress shop in Tennessee, at IBM as part of a UX team, co-owning 7 Ton Co., a design and letterpress company in Asheville, NC, and working with Penland School of Craft. Through these ventures and more, I have cultivated a deep love for design and the ways in which it can enrich our lives. I enjoy working collaboratively, without ego, to find the best design solution for the project at hand.
